What to do with a large framed canvas

I have a large 40x60 framed piece of stretched canvas that has been gessoed. It's just waiting for something wonderful. i want to hang it in my dining room which is primarily green, black and natural (dark) wood. Currently I have two large pieces 18x45, featuring a spoon in one and a knife and fork in the other. These flank the large window. I have a large room, 15 x 15 so I have room for a statement piece. Any thoughts of what to do with this?

If it were me I would do color washes in water tones. Abstract and not to busy, just peaceful color changes of blues and green with some hints of black

I would paint a very pretty plate on it.

@Deb Simmering This is right up my ally. Love the idea of a plate, maybe even 3 of them, allowing two to bleed off the edge. hmmmm. You've got me thinking. thanks so much

It really depends on the look & feel you are going towards. Tranquil... keep in the blues & greens. Themed... plate, plates, or kitchen tool/appliance. If you want a little drama, try a subject in a color on the opposite side of the color wheel... ie: the opposite of green is red & the opposite of blue is orange... painting something with a little or a lot of these colors will make a bold statement in that area. Your possibilities are endless.
