I scored this table for $2.00 today at Goodwill. I'm looking for ideas for painting it and using it on my patio. Thanks

Looks like the perfect opportunity to try your hand at mosaic tile on the table top. Be sure to use the right mastic and grout for outdoor use. Paint the rest of the table with a complimentary color for the tiles you choose. Use near the BBQ or by seating as an end table.

I agree with the mosaic idea. Go back to goodwill and buy some spare plates, break them up, and use them to mosaic the top.

Unless you are good at doing mosaic would not attempt. However you can get tiles for the top with a design or print on them and paint the rest to match the tile you chose

thanks for the ideas, not sure about a mosaic as my hands are compromised but I do like the tile idea.

Shabby Paints have a great variety of color! Add a stencil to the top and done! Great find.

@Colette thank you Mimi - I want it to be weatherproofed so I can use it out on our deck which is not covered. I couldn't pass it up.

Shabby Paints are durable outside. You use their Vax or Varnish. Vax is not a wax. All their products are nontoxic and VOC free. You can paint in the house! Please ck out their web page. The best and easiest paint I have ever used.

If you don't want to tile the top, paint it and have a piece of glass cut a little larger than the top so that rain will spill over the sides. Put clear rubber pads between wood & glass for air to circulate--no moisture buildup. You can also get clear rubber coating in a spray can. This can be sprayed on to give a waterproof coating on the entire table. Also put some nail on/stick on risers on the legs of the table to lift them off the floor so they don't sit in water.
