Playhouse Fun

When we bought our house (in Iceland) there was a shed in the front yard that we decided to turn into a playhouse - using mostly items we had around the house.
For my kids this is a small piece of heaven. They love to have pretend tea parties and most of all, the seem to love to "clean" the place. Sweeping the floors and wiping everything down - here's hoping that rubs off on them and saves me some bickering with teenagers in the future.
The biggest change came in painting the ceiling and floor, to make them look like old floorboards.
Most items are hand me downs or thrifted, so this was made on a shoestring budget.
Loved creating this space.
To add small items for them to play house.
A small "birdhouse" got a spraypaint makeover and is now hanging from the roof.
These vintage pictures were found at a local Goodwill.
And the bells, hansing from the shelf, are made from a egg-carton.
The cooker are two hot plates from Ikea, made from cork, and were spraypainted black and can be easily removed.
Small house shelves.
Used a runner for the curtain.
And then there is the cooking.
Tea parties.
and endless fun :)

Do you have instructions on how to build this playhouse?

Very sweet, perhaps I missed it, but what color did you use on the ceiling? Thanks for the reply.

I absolutely love this private space for the kiddies. The little blue wall cabinet is so sweet but I think the two flowers on the wall are the cutest addition to the space (besides the kiddies, of course). I was wondering about the front of the playhouse, was the little porch already there or did you add it on ? It is so perfect for a playhouse, maybe that is what it was in its former life ?? Great job, if i was a neighbor child, i would be over every second of every day .)

Thanks so much, this was a few years ago - and the kids are now 11 and 7, and all the glassware is still in perfect form. None has broken - I think this depends on the kids ;)
