Is anyone having issues with hybrid lilies that are having the tops cut through? Hubs isn't sure if it's a critter or pest, but he is furious. Seems to be happening at night. "Cut" is clean across, not ragged. We are in MA. Thanks for any advice.

Do you have a deer problem? Deer love flowers! I plant my lilies amongst other plants and flowers that deer do not eat and it helps. I also will put a wire 'fence' around my bed that fills with daylily blooms in the next month. you could try a product made to keep deer away that will smell. good luck!

If you have deer in your area you might try a product called Milorganite. It's a fertilizer for plants but the deer hate the smell of it. I doubt "critters" are the problem because it's just the tops.
