Does anyone have a solution to yellowing refrigerator handles? Painting is out of the question. I've tried everything I know to do. I appreciate your wonderful input.

@Carol Fredette Carol, I'm beginning to think that your solution is the only one that is going to work. So far, I've tried everything that has been suggested except for the Vim with Bleach. (I don't know what that is yet). Thank you.
  • Try Mr Clean pad or Clorox just don't let the clorox get on your clothes..

@Sheri Barry Good morning, Sheri. I don't know what Vim with Bleach is. Is it available in Missouri? Up to this point, I've tried all the other solutions. Thank you.

Hi There Vim is a mild grit creamy cleaner with bleach. It should be in the cleaning supplies. I live in Canada so maybe it isn't a US product. I works great....good luck to you

I was told that they can't be returned to their 'white' state. It's a chemical reaction to the sun/air (mine didn't get any direct sunlight, but they told me it didn't matter). Either replace them, or get a new frig...depends on the fridge's age and how much you like it. Good luck.

Dawn power dissolver works great too!

I too think its a chemical reaction. My mailbox started out white but the plastic soon turned yellow. I've painted it white but that also turned yellow. I am in the process of repainting it with a hammered metallic paint. Think this will preserve it the way I want it to be. Good luck.
