Turn Your Child's Artwork Into a Custom Bookcase

Maggie May's Gifts
by Maggie May's Gifts
Line the back of shelves with your kids' art for a fun, custom piece of furniture!
Let your kids' art make a statement in your home.
Take a plain shelf (preferably one where the backing comes off easily.
Remove the back
Lay out your pictures how you like them.
Then remove one at a time to apply glue or DIY Mod Podge underneath.

Recipe for DIY Mod Podge can be found here https://maggiemaysgifts.wordpress.com/2014/05/04/make-your-own-mod-podge/
Then once they are all glued down, put a layer of DIY Mod Podge on top of the pictures to seal them down.
Nail the backing back onto the shelf.
Put your shelves back in.....
And fill with books and baskets.
If your backing doesn't come off you can still do this by cutting the pictures to fit along the back. It will take longer, but it's still do-able!

I do realize this post is from 2015, but I have to say, this idea will stand the test of time.

One thing I just know kids will do, is add to their art, as years go by… it’s inevitable! So maybe try watching for the new art, and place the date near it. Thanks so much Maggie May
