Huge brick 70's fireplace: can I "tuckpoint" myself?
I plan to milkpaint my enormous 70's brick fireplace of tumbled bricks to lighten it up. However, the original tuckpointing is deeply recessed between the bricks and its cement. I would like to bring it to the surface with something lighter and less industrial looking. Can I do it myself with some kind of caulking?

Yes - just make sure it is paintable and will adhere to brick

I plastered mine. I didn't want to see all the lines from the bricks.
