Cover a lamp shade with a sweater. I used hot glue to glue the sweater onto the lamp shade then added decorative ribbon and a bow to match. I found the lamp and sweater at a local thrift shop for a total of $4!

Vicki rice on Apr 17, 2014I am redoing a floor lamp, replacing the wiring & painting it. The shade is huge & the fabric is rotted. I like this idea & it's a good thing that I'm huge, too, so I think that I'll be able to find a sweater to complete the task. Thanks for the idea.
