Existing fire pit, encase with cinder blocks

It's pool season and my pool gets priority on the deck. That means something gets demoted to the concrete patio area, the fire pit. since my yard is not fenced I would like to deter thieves by surrounding the pit with cinder blocks. I already have a few standard size blocks and toppers. My question is: Can you help me figure out how many blocks and toppers I will need to go around my square pit? the pit is 30" on all sides and 20 1/2" tall, Thanks!
