A New Look for an Old Tiered Table

A couple of years ago we acquired a table that was my late mother-in-law's favorite. She proudly displayed it in her living room with pansies sitting on the top shelf. Since she passed away it had been neglected and not taken care of so when we rescued it, a little TLC was needed.
As a tribute to both of our moms, I styled it with mom-related things.
Don't you love the detail on the edges of the table? My mom's pearls and my mother-in-law's earrings sit on top of a pretty vintage linen. Old books and dried rose petals complete the styling.
I gave it a fresh coat of paint in a custom color of milk paint.
Here's a photo of the first paint treatment I applied to it. I felt like it was too rustic so I repainted the whole thing.

    WOW! Very pretty.....I have an almost exact table, only the to tier is leather...any suggestions on what or how to get around this? I have paint ready...just not sure whether to paint the leather top or not???
