As you can see, the outer board of my tub needs to be repaired. Anyone have any experience with this? I could use some expertise if anyone can help.

Does the joint go back together if you sit on top of it? I cannot tell if it is permanently warped or just bent. I would ask about the proper adhesive at Lowe's or Home Depot. Then, I should shoot the adhesive in that space, and stack very heavy items on top to press it back together. Unfortunately, you cannot use a clamp there. Once the adhesive is dry, apply a thin line of caulk to keep moisture from seeping inside. Before you start this job, make sure it is all very dry. Adhesive won't stick if it is wet, and you don't want to try to seal up a moldy space.

One more thing. If the joint cannot go back together, I would still seal that up with caulk. Since that separation is so large, you could use something like this first: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sashco-Sealants30251Pre-Caulking-Filler-Rope-Backer-Rod-1-4-X100-FILLER-ROPE/38472696. It is important to seal it up after it is dry completely. This will prevent mold and/or the break down of the wood frame that holds the tub.

@Stacy@BlakeHillHouse thanks Stacy, I will try that, I think I am going to attempt to see if I can pull the entire panel off, and use adhesive to put it back on, if not, then I will attempt to just glue as is, and see if that works.

What product is it? If it is cultured marble then you can pop it off and clean and re-epoxy!

we had the same problem with our tub. We took off the front. My husband built a wo0den form to fit in there and then we reattached the front panel to it. I can give it to you since we recently removed. the tub for a new one. I live in Plano..
