I loved learning how to grow mushrooms and creating my own little mushroom farm. It checks a bunch of boxes for me: DIY, organic gardening, and food foraging. I figured learning how to grow mushrooms would be a fun gardening activity for my son and I as well.

I love mushrooms, especially as a sandwich filling the best (sauteed mushrooms, mayo, mustard, carmelized onions or shallots between whole grain buttered bread) - nothing better for lunch!

We have so many different mushrooms growing here I don't need to do that. But, a great idea!!
