Does anyone know how to get rid of fleas in a house? I have carpet and wood floors. I have used the "bombs" but they are still coming back.

U have to get rid of the eggs as well as the fleas. For that u need Precor. Its small bottle that u mix with a gallon of water ..put in your sprayer & spray entire house ( wont hurt carpet ) especially along baseboards & under furniture. Best I have found !! U can order it online !! Good Luck !!

There were fleas upstairs and I was told no animal liked mothballs.I put them out out in plain sight so I could retrieve them. After a little while I saw a dark like cloud comming down the stairs and around the banister, head for the kitchen. I didn't get up to see where next, but they were gone completely. When I told someone about that, they insisted fleas don't fly. Maybe mothballs had something to do with them determined to leave. Weird, I know

A flea lifecycle is three weeks so if you decide to bomb again, bomb, wait 3 weeks and bomb again. We had the same problem when we bought our house. The owners had dogs and the dogs infested the house with fleas :-(. it took the 2 bombings but they were all good lucky for us! Good luck!

If you don't have pets in the house shake DE Get at Tractor supply in every carpet, couch, etc. Let sit overnight, then vacuum. DO that every three days for two weeks and that should get them without smell or expensive bombs. If you do have a dog or cat get the new Fibro flea spot on. Works wonders I haven't had a flea using this for almost ten years and I raise Danes!

You can use Borax detergent, however, do not allow children and pets near it. Sprinkle on floors and leave overnight. Make sure you clean it up the next day. Do not go barefooted and walk on the Borax as it can irritate your skin. I have done this on carpet only but it should do the job. Further, I have never found the fleas on hardwood floors but that does not mean they are not there.

Animal control told me about mothballs. They packed up and left, eggs and all. It took maybe three hours. You go pick up the balls and it's over. Good luck.
