Karlean M on Oct 16, 2011Before you purchase your furniture, you want to consider quality to keep from spending money for furniture repairs or furniture restorations. You want to consider your costs, but remember quality furniture will save you money in the long run. Look for chairs with an oak frame. Less expensive chairs have pine frames. Pine breaks more easily and does not last as long as a chair with an oak frame So, save your pennies and buy the best! :)Helpful Reply

Teresa D on Oct 17, 2011Karlean, Thanks for the info. I do ask what kind of wood the furniture is made of. I've had to look some of them up as I've not heard of some of them. I have to find a happy medium between good quality and affordability. Definitely do not want to waste my money, but I can't get myself to pay over $1 grand for a single chair - especially considering the crazy mark up on furniture anyway. I don't think cost is always an indication of the best. I've learned that the hard way. Belle - I liked some of the things I saw on Ashley. Especially the dining room sets which I am in the market for. I will check them out. Thanks for the suggestion. Patsy, it will be an every day chair. If I'm not sitting in it, family and friends will be. I am keeping an eye on Home Decorators ... they have some really good sales. It's a little scary though, buying furniture from online.Helpful Reply
