Very well done Sarah. I've made these for a client before. They work well, when lined with blackout liner, for covering light from transom windows too. -

Can they be used as a bottom up shade? I want privacy but still get light. -
Phyllis ~ Of coarse! They would work beautifully in that application, especially if you wanted the blind to be stationary. You would have to adjust the mounting hardware slightly to work with your window. Maybe installing a wood 1x2 straight across the window by mounting it with L brackets on the side of the frame? -

@Phyllis - can you please tell me how you made out by doing it as a bottom up shade? I like that idea and could really use that as well.
