Do you lose those little garden markers when your garden becomes lush and full. Or even before. Not anymore with these beauties. Make brick size garden markers that will be harder to lose.

Start with concrete or clay bricks. (I chose concrete as they were the least expensive). I got mine at the local building supplier.

Add several coats of a primer sealant, I used Zinser. Let dry between coats well. I used several coats as the bricks were very porous and pitted so it makes it smoother for painting on.

UPDATE: I have found the Plaid FolkArt Multi-Surface paints work just as well as the Zinser and they come in smaller budget friendly sizes.

Now add your design. The full instructions for each veggie is linked on the blog here: Brick Garden Markers

Seal with an exterior varathane and you have yourself a batch of garden markers that will be harder to lose. Happy Gardening!
