Looking for a fun and easy 4th of July craft? Try making these tie dye style fireworks napkins for your patriotic picnic. #4thofJuly
Aren't they fun? And they're so easy to make! My daughters had a fabulous time helping me make them!
You just need paper towels, permanent markers, and rubbing alcohol. Draw *very* basic fireworks shapes--I'm talking just a few dots or lines--and pour some rubbing alcohol in the center of the design. As the rubbing alcohol wicks out from the center, it pulls some of the dye from the marker and creates these beautiful tie-dye effects. I used a medicine syringe (the kind they give you for giving medicine to babies) to give me extra control applying the alcohol, but that wasn't necessary, just nice.
When the alcohol evaporates, it leaves nothing behind. No residue. Nothing. Except the beautiful design, of course!
Happy 4th of July!

Charlie Malone on Jun 19, 2015Cute but you would not to place food directly on top of it. Rubbing alcohol + sharpies+ food, Not a good combination.
