Details, Details, Details . . .

Welcome to my little nest. I want to show you how easy it is to add romantic country charm to your.
I live in a basement apartment, this is my outside entrance. Just because I don't have 3,000 square feet to decorate doesn't mean I have to skimp on decorating. It's just me so I decorate to the fullest with romantic charm.
I do not spend a lot on decor and most of it is hand made by me. Here a sweet cottage sign hangs above my sink in the kitchen with a vintage book garland. I made the sign from pallet slates, then painted it in a charming light green. I used stencils for the word cottage. The roses are cut from fabric then mod podged on. So simple and easy.
I did the same for this French pastry sign. Details ready had a lot of charm to the home and stenciling is way way that I have found to bring my personality into it.
These are my simple bar stools with a touch of the French style stenciled on.
I found some great old shutters and added one to my back splash on the cupboard. It gives the kitchen a fun vignette.
Here I added some stenciling on pillow covers that I made.
Paris is always a good idea.
Here I hung another vintage shutter on the wall. Then added some fun pictures on it.
I have used a vintage ladder, window screen, and a chippy window for wall decor. Little details is what gives your home character, and is inviting to family and friends.
