A Faux Cowhide Rug for Less Than $50

I really wanted a cowhide rug for our sitting room, but just couldn't afford a real one! I got to work with some faux cowhide fabric and created something that looked great for less than $50.
I printed out a cowhide rug shape that I liked, drew a grid over it, and then transferred the shape to a 5 x 7" piece of faux cowhide fabric.
Then, I cut out the shape and singed the raw edges with a lighter to prevent them from fraying.
This fabric is gorgeous and realistic (there's a link to it in my blog post), and the rug adds so much fun to our sitting room!

Like your project very much and LOVE the color of your walls. Couldn't find it on your website - would you mind sharing name and brand of that lovely paint in your beautiful room. Thank you so much.

I love, love your sofa. What brand is it and the style if you can find it on the inside tag under the cushions. It looks so dreamy and ready to relax and take a nap on it. Mj

This is the LEAST amount of explanation of a project I’ve ever seen on here and I think it was on purpose so you’d have to go to the website, which I don’t appreciate.
