Make Your Own Cribbage Board

I've never played cribbage before, but a friend challenged me to make a crib board. It was a fun project and great for a moderately-skilled woodworker. One reader made a crib board (following these instructions) as a wedding present, and he did it all with hand tools.

The main body is made of pine and the racing stripe is oak. I made the pegs from double-headed nails. #cribbage #games

Time: 4 Hours Cost: $15 Difficulty: Moderate

I cut-off the points on some double-headed nails and painted one pair red.

The body swivels to store cards and pegs.

I have watched my uncles play many a game of cribbage, but never on such a handsome board.
