Filthy old dresser/buffet give new shabby white finish

When my grandparents' unoccupied house started being demo'd I salvaged an old dresser (or buffet) and gave it a facelift.
I only used the old dresser as surface to refinish an old mantel. I didn't think it would be anything more that a pile of scrap lumber.
After sanding and wiping through and through, I found a nice golden maple.
I gave it a whitewash finish, then used a dry brush to pull streaks through the wet paint. I clean up the old original hardware and was able to use them all.
Now it brightens up our living room and is sturdy enough to display a large piece of art we had just purchased . A few doilies and a few trinkets, and she will be all dressed.
