My backyard porch

This is my quiet respite, it faces east and is a peaceful place for my morning coffee and it catches the evening breezes for late day reading or a cocktail. You see my Maggie taking advantage of the morning sun.

owners also didn't know) The only flower (see picture) appears (I think) in the Spring and that's it. We would like to keep them under control. Any assistance, greatly appreciated.

Looks like a hardy geranium- common name cranesbill - to me. Flowers can be purple, pink or blue.

Outdoor Living: Is it cheaper to build a concrete outdoor patio or a low floating deck?

Approx. 12x14 and and 11 1/2 x 9 spaces. I would either build 2 decks and connect them or 1 concrete patio to connect them. I am connecting 2 outdoor patios on the back of my house.

A concrete patio is a permanent structure - property taxes will be a factor. A floating deck ...»
is temporary, so property taxes will not be affected.
