About Me:

I love working in my flower beds and making my own hanging baskets. I enjoy crafts as well. I have 2 grand children and another on the way and look forward to spending some time with them this summer. My oldest grand daughter, Natalie, will be three in July and is oldest enough to "help" with summer doing some little things in the flower beds.

  • So easy to do this! You don't even need elbow grease! http://www.thevspotblog.com/2011/07/cleaning-stove-burners-grates-best.html
  • Ick! (I cook a lot... don't you judge me.) ;)
  • Take the disgusting, yucky burner and seal it up in a big Ziploc-type bag with about 1/4 cup of ammonia and let it sit overnight.
  • The same burner, 12 hours and no scrubbing later. Ammonia fumes have worked their magic. It's the fumes that dissolve the grease, not the ammonia itself.

An easy spring cleaning tip for one of the worst jobs in the house!

My stove burners get absolutely disgusting. Sealing them up with a tiny bit of pure ammonia makes it possible to just wipe clean with a sponge. #SpringCleaning http://www.thevspotblog.com/2011/07/cleaning...

Thank you SO much for sharing this. I saw it in one of my magazine last year, i think, and had ...»
lost the magazine! I had not realized I'd lost the magazine until I went to look for it to share this idea with a neighbor who wanted to do something interesting that wouldn't cost a fortune. I promised her i'd find it and you've helped me keep from going bald trying to find the directions for this. :)
