Protecting canvas paintings for outdoors

I love paintings. I'm not talking true art just nice paintings that make me happy. Even with numerous gallery walls, I am running out of space. Since many of my found art works cost just a few dollars, I don't need them to last forever. How can I preserve them to last as long as possible outdoors?

Try a spray sealant, I`m not sure what is available in the States but I use Rust-Oleum spray _Crystal Clear from B&Q I think this is similar to any large hardware store there?

@Tracy Bromage Have you used the Rust-Oleum spray for outdoor projects? If so, does it really work? And, thank you so much for sharing.

Marine grade spar varnish is the best all weather sealer in my experience. It even seals and protects paper mache projects outdoors. Sometimes it gives an amber hue which makes the piece look vintage. I have tried the clear acrylic spray and it takes multiple coats several times a year to do the job. Even then it is not totally weatherproof but it usually lasts until you get tired of the piece.

@Ann Thank you....i will try that........I also have other "indoor" things I want to decorate with outside. So it won't last forever........art is to be used, not hidden away..........
