My lilies are under attack!

Last week they were fine, it rained for a couple of days and now they look like somebody's been pulling them apart and eating them. Any idea of what has happened to them?

It might be Red Lily Beetles-have you seen an red insects on your plant?

Oh, my heart goes out to you for this condition, that can and by the looks of your pictures did happen to your lilies. They survived bulb mites but looks like you have the worst foot rot I have ever seen with these beautiful lilies. Fungal disease is what you have going on. Stem rot just below the surface of your lilies can happen and sadly did here the fungi can travel all the way up to the tips of your flowers. Another issue that could be going on at the same time might also worsen your situation done by aphids that transmit this viral disease. Though these beautiful flowers love moist humid weather, but too much rain has done this terrible thing to this year's seasonal blooms. I know what has gone wrong and it breaks my heart that I have not a single solution to help you fix or repair this problem. Better luck next year is a tiny constellation. I feel so bad for you. But at least we both know the why and the what.

@Diane Basile Honesty I doubt it. As much as I hate to say this. One chance of saving them could possibly be in digging them up and allowing to sun dry the bulb. once all the dirt has dried off of the original bulb tuck the bulb away for a few months say till mid-August then put in the refrigerator for week or so. After that try to replant with bone meal in a different spot. This is the best thing under these circumstances. If you try, it's the best you can do.

I also suspect red beetles. If you don't see the bugs themselves, you may see gooey black lumps which are the larvae and do the most damage. Treat with Neem oil.

First I would use Epsom salt to built of nutrients to the soil 1/4 cup around the plant, then fels-naptha soap, take shavings of the soap and add to water spray the plants the spray with organic need oil. The bugs will not like the soap taste preventing them to munch on your plants, the need oil suffocates the bugs

red lily leaf beetle I have them too there are very few things that will kill them, I found that Monterey Garden insect spray with Spinosad will kill them but you must spray top bottom and soil and if you see brown lumps that look like poop on the leaves you must pull them with your hands those are the larva and when they are ready they will drop to the soil and bury them selves by the root of the plant for next year.

I seem to have kept them at bay but did not know about the burrowing for next year. Thanks for this info... and ugh!
