From Scratch: A Laundry Room/craft Room to Call Home

This week I am revealing the laundry room on the home tour. When remodeling the house we had to find a spot to relocate the laundry room. It was originally in the kitchen. With the changes made in the kitchen, there was no room left. Plus I just didn't want the laundry room in the kitchen!
We had a LARGE bedroom that had too much space, so we carved out part of that bedroom to form the new laundry/craft room. The picture you see below is before we formed walls. That is the window you will see IN the laundry room!
This space is kind of my stomping ground. I felt off the hook to make it manly in any way shape or form. I love the loud bold fabric on the windows. The black and white check floor melts my heart.
But really it's the details that make the room me. The vintage soda crates crammed with all my trinkets and treasures. Baby food jars are the key.
All my paint and junk out in the open so I can see is so helpful.
These outdoor pots make great buckets for storage in this nook of my laundry room.
All the storage boxes were on sale at Michael's and the fabric baskets are from Lowe's.
Wait till you see what I did with this left over wood...
