Baseball Dresser

Wildflowers & Pistols
by Wildflowers & Pistols
I did this dresser for a little boys room. It was SO much fun to do and I'm REALLY happy with how it turned out!! Check it out and see if you think it's a home run ;)
This was the dresser before. There were spots where the veneer had chipped and broke off so it was filled in with bondo and sanded smooth. Now for the fun stuff!
I painted it using Wildflowers & Pistols Milk Paint using the colors Priscilla (our bright white) and Pearl (our creamy white). I first painted the dresser with Priscilla then I layered it with Pearl. I did this to help give an aged look.. Like that of an old baseball. Once I sanded you could see some of the bright white as well as the creamy.
For the baseball threads I first drew out my design onto the dresser using chalk. Once I had it the way I liked I began to paint. I used Wildflowers & Pistols Milk Paint with the colors Gertrude (brown) and Scarlet (red). You can purchase the milk paint here ----> www.wildflowersandpistols.com
I glazed around the threads to help make it look more realistic and worn. I used Rustoleums Glaze Java Brown.
I also glazed around the edges.. Again, just to keep with the worn, aged look.
It was hard to capture in pictures... but here you can sort of see the bright white (Priscilla) peeking through the creamy white (Pearl)
And, one more picture just for good measure ;)
I'm so happy with the finished product and it was super fun to do! I hope that sweet little boy is able to enjoy this baseball dresser for many years to come! :)
