Painted Channel Back Chair

This, Chair was found at a city-wide yard sale for about $5, The fabric had some stains on it and the wood had some scratches on it but other than that it was in good shape. I have never reupholstered a chair like that so I actually decided to paint the fabric.
I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in old white to paint the fabric, to do that all you have to do is water down the paint so its easier to paint it on the fabric. So I would dip my brush in water than in the paint, or you could put some in another container and water it down. it takes a few coats to cover it.
The paint does not make the fabric very hard or crunchy like most fabric paints. After i painted it i lightly went over it with a sanding block to make it even smoother.
Then i went over with the Annie Sloan Clear wax, with the wax over it your fabric will feel like a very soft leather.
For the arms and legs I used a paint by plaid called Waverly inspirations in a dark grey color. I heavily distressed it then went over that with wax to.
