Missing sewing machine manual

I lost the manual to my 70's Sear's kenmore sewing machine. Does anyone know how/where I can get a manual? Their website isn't helpful. It was mostly ads and reviews for new machines.

I Googled the item by using the model number and Brand name. Many times you can download a free manual online.

You can look it up on the net, or get a hold of the company sears is still in business so you should not have any problems. good luck and GOD bless.

What is the model number for your machine? If you absolutely cannot download one, I wonder if we have the same machine. Mine was a wedding present in 1973 (and in all those years it's been repaired ONCE! LOL!)

Check your local phone book for a retailer that sells Kenmore sewing machine replacement parts/does Kenmore sewing machine repair. It's likely they would also have a how-to manual or know where you could get one. (The folks that own/run these stores are usually very knowledgeable, you would do well to befriend one and LEARN from them.)

Can you post the model number and a photo? I still use my 1977 Sears Kenmore machine. Still works great. If it's the same machine, I can copy the manual for you.

Sewusa.com has a huge list of manuals available for purchase. A few years ago, I purchased from them a replacement manual for my 1977 Kenmore.

Nowadays most machine manuals can be found online. They can be downloaded in entirety For free. You must key in the correct model numbers.

The model # will be on the machine, maybe underneath. If you can't find call sears and ask them where on the machine it would be located, then go to sears .com/manuals

I have one from the 2nd half of the seventies, I believe it was model number 1451 but I could be mistaken. Do you need the manual to sew, or are you wanting to make adjustments? Either way, the technology was pretty straight forward in those days! Let me know if I can help!

Found mine for an old, obscure ITALIAN embroidering machine (can't think of the name right this minute) on EBAY of all places, for about 14 bucks, included the shipping. Also try Craig's List, not only to look but as a request. With such an iconic machine though, I'll bet it's online someplace!

like karen said, find the model # and look up and u should be able to print a copy or maybe even find an original out there. shouldnt cost more then 10- 20 $$. good luck. i found one for a viking 1970s and printed it off for 12$.

I found one for an old Kenmore as well a while back. You really do need to see the number of your machine. Number is usually on the bottom of your machine. Flip it up and look. Good Luck. (BTW - cost me nothing but paper and ink to make a copy of the manual on my computer. )

I found my manual, in my sewing box, at the bottom, under all the levels/trays of supplies- who would've thunk it? a perfectly logical place to put it, but it didn't occur to me to look there:/thanks for your help, everyone!
