Decorating With Yard Sale and Thrift Store Finds

It is possible to decorate and fill your home with beautiful treasures without spending a lot of money. I recently put together a post on my blog featuring items that I had picked up at a yard sale or thrift store or made myself. You just have to scout out items that you feel a connection to and will fit in your style and everything will come together!
These three vintage jugs cost less than $3 TOTAL! Wicker covered wine bottles can be really expensive, but you can occasionally find a really pricey item for not a lot of money if you look hard enough!
When creating any display it is important to have different textures and a pop of color. That makes everything coordinate together and brings interest to what you've created.
The wood ladder was a $10 yard sale purchase. It has a lot of age and wear to it, which are both things I love.
The boxwood wreath was one that I made for less than $15 and it is hanging on an old metal fireplace screen. It was the priciest thing in this display costing $20 at an antique shop. Sometimes a splurge is fine for an item you really like, especially when you are saving in other areas.
This ironstone platter was just $1 at Goodwill and it is displayed in a small wood box that I picked up for not much more than that somewhere else.
The white table that everything is displayed on was a vintage radio stand that was $5 at a yard sale. It needed a lot of work but is a beautiful piece of furniture now.
This wood trunk is my only non-shopping find. It belonged to my dad and he used it as a box to store plumbing supplies. I love all the character and patina that it has.
In the end, everything came together to create a really pretty vignette. Be sure to keep your eyes open and think outside the box to find some interesting and unique ways to decorate your own space without spending a lot of money!
