Maggie Hugie on Jul 03, 2015plain vinegar with table salt works well to rust things quickly, let them sit in the vinegar overnight or until the screws look like you want them to. You can also add a bit of baking soda to hasten the process. Be sure your screws are steel and not galvanized metal or some other metal like brass that doesn't rust but turns a very pretty green.Helpful Reply
