Summer Garden Tour After Flower Garden Makeovers

I finally got my flower gardens done! I have chronic Lyme Disease so my flower gardens have been neglected for a couple of years. Winters here in Wisconsin can do some damage. All of the freezing and thawing can heave dirt, plants and bulbs into chaos. It was time to get everything back in order! I didn't have any die off over the winter which I was really happy about because I love all of the plants I have because they're mature and filled in nicely. I added a focal point to each of my front gardens. In the butterfly garden - the one with the blue bird bath - I planted a lovely weeping crabapple tree. In the other garden I planted a magnolia tree. Both are small and compact and will only reach a height of about 6-12 feet. I used granite edgers with crushed granite for the borders. My bulb garden will be redone in the Fall.
The butterfly garden has purple liatris, sunset coneflowers, maroon daylilies. I will probably add more coneflowers - on the left side of the photo.
This is the main garden and it sustained the most winter damage. I had to level it in the front by pulling it back and adding more top soil. I still need to add more top soil, tuck the plastic in and seed the bare area with grass seed.
I have several different plants on the front porch. Planted in cedar pots I have lavender and gerbera daisies. Beside the arbor in the two white pots I planted giant blue morning glories. I also have culias in the cedar pot in front of the post beside the porch.
The hostas in front of the garage have gotten huge! I will need to move the smaller ones because the giant ones have nearly covered them. On the end of the row of hostas is a reblooming lilac.
The bulb garden will be replanted in the Fall and possibly moved elsewhere to put in a water feature such as a self sustaining pond. This area is a natural drainage are so it would be the ideal place for a water feature.
In the back of the garage I planted spireas. They too have grown huge with all of the rain we've had this summer.
I planted patriotic potted arrangements to display in the wagon which is a replica with original metal wheels. I needs to be remade as the weather has taken a toll on it.

@Miriam, We are very blessed to live in this area. It is like being at a cabin year round. We are tucked away in an area right off of the Great River Road in Wisconsin which was voted the most scenic in tour in the US.
