I had to manually drain mine with ladles, turkey baster, then rags and a bowl--it was disgusting...nothing else worked.

Had the same problem. I just added full strength bleach to it and ran it empty a few times. Maybe I'm lucky but it worked.

I took out almost all the water manually, then added vinegar. I let it stand for a few hours and then tried the dishwasher again. It worked for me. You might have to do it twice if the first time didn't completely do the job.

Hi I have to do this every so often because something will get into the drain and clog it.empty out the standing water...being very careful not to get it in your eyes or mouth I wear safety glasses and tie a bandana over my mouth wear gloves also ..stagnate water can make you very sick..once the water is out..use a flexible extension on a drill set to reverse unscrew all of the screws you see lon the plastic covers clean out the hole with a bottle brush a toothbrush try to get as much as you can out of the hole..I usually find plastic wrappers over the screen at this point...be careful not to tear the screen...replace the covers ...if you want to or you can wait until after you run the cleaner it really doesn't matter put some dishwasher magic sold at Walmart in a box of three in the soap tray and pour vinegar in the bottom run a cycle and it should work good as new...it's a messy job but so worth it

Make sure where the water is coming from, does it stay there after you run the machine or does it "appear" there just out of nowhere. I had to adjust the garbage disposal drain to make sure the water drains right and nothing is left behind in the washing machine. There is also a valve, that odd looking cylinder looking thing. Tap on it with a wooden spoon couple of times to see if that works. If not, take it apart and clean it out (from the inside) BTW, not all parts come off...ask me how I found that out :D Ran vinegar through the machine few times after I took it apart.

Sometimes the air gap thing on top of the sink is clogged and it stops the dishwasher from draining. I have cleaned mine out in the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmG2JXQL858
