The label on the plant says Eryngium, but I don't think so

This plant look nice and healthy and yet it was on the clearance table at Home Depot. It's very low growing and for just $1.00 I couldn't pass it up.
UPC code label says Eryngium, I've searched the Web but it doesn't look anything like it.

Look for Eryngium planum.

Probably labelled incorrectly. Looks more like a lobelia or alyssium than sea holly

Eryngium that I have known looks more like a thistle... Resembles alyssum.

Look up 'Scabiosa', also known as a Pin Cushion flower. I have several of them and the foliage in this picture sure looks like them.
