Bathroom Floor Update for $30, Budget and Renter Friendly.

I am not a real fan of the sheet vinyl that covers all of our bathrooms and kitchen. To be honest, I really really dislike it. Not wanting to spend a lot of money nor time, I decided to use vinyl tiles and grout, to give the floor a face-lift.I spent about $30 and few hours (Would have been quicker without my sweet little helper)
Before
I used literally the cheapest vinyl tiles from Lowe's. It was supposed to be a trial anyways, so my hopes were not that high. I measured and calculated how many I need, added 20% for overage/messups, ended up with 50 tiles. They looked nice, with a blue hue that I was looking for. So, after sitting on the counter in the kids bathroom for a month, one evening I did it. I laid the floor tiles with spacers. (I actually forgot to buy the real spacers, so I made some from what I had laying around in the garage)...glued the tiles on the ugly never clean looking vinyl, danced on them so they would stick. (You should follow the directions though...)
Without grout
Cut them with an utility knife or good scissors, lay them down and feel like a superman/woman. It's that easy. After a cup of coffee and a bedtime story, I added grout to the little lines in between the tiles.
Working on the grout.
Added grout (Antique white) and Facebook'ed about this awesome DIY I just pulled off. Mr. Husband didn't know what I was doing so when I called him in to see my work he was very impressed. At first he thought it's the real deal.

We have had it for few weeks now, it still looks pretty. All tiles are in place and nobody can tell it's a $30.00 floor (or they are being very nice to me)

Tiles are pretty good, I suggest going to the store to buy them, some of them are crooked. Look through the boxes and get the straight ones. And yes, I did a small test to see if I can take them up if need arises. Yes! They come off just fine.

Boom! 1:0

I win!

Take that ugly floor.
