I knew there had to be an easier way! After my parents cleaned my paint brushes for me one day and the bristles were all nice and soft, I just couldn't go back to using crusty brushes. But I still didn't want to put in all that work!

    after cleaning them wrap in any plastic bag-they stay soft til you use them again--you can also put brushes in one if you need to stop painting for a while wrap them tight and they are soft and the paint left on doesnt dry so you just start where you left off--been doing this for yrs--i love to paint but just hated to clean brushes if i had to stop -

    I let the brushes soak for a little while in a container with warm water and fabric softener. Then wash with soap and water. The brushes clean easier and the bristles stay soft. Also if the brush has hard bristle from previous job, soak the brush in full strength fabric softener to loosen the bristles
