12 Tips for Creating Black and White Interior Design

Monochrome schemes have always been popular in minimalist, Grand Designsstyle houses, but this trend has evolved this season to become warmer and more liveable, making it suitable for those of us living in more conservative-sized properties and on a more realistic budget.
Key things to consider:

1. Add soft neutrals to your collection of white. It will soften the look and is a little easier to work with than brilliant white which can look quite clinical if it’s not balanced out.

2. White walls will bounce light around, so this scheme is suitable even for smaller spaces, and black accents that you choose will add definition to the scheme.

3. Mood lighting will make all the difference – choose a mixture of floor and table lamps with a soft, warm glow, rather than simply relying on overhead lighting which can leave your whites looking cold and lacklustre.
1. Tribal designs and geometric patterns feature heavily in this trend.
2. Use a combination of prints and embroideries for an interesting mix of pattern.
3. Create a gallery wall with black and white photos and prints.

So excited that I came across this post!! Recently decided to go from very "colorful" decor to black and white theme. We were having g a hard time balancing out the room and was worried the pattern theme was to flashy for lack of better term I guess. Since seeing this I now know I have several options that will finally let me be excited to finish my theme asap
