Wow, there are so many options to explore. Could you give us all a little more information or even some pictures to help us narrow our suggestions? Table/bedside lamps are always great as are some ceiling mounted fixtures. But again, giving us an idea of what direction you're going in decor will help us answer your question.

    1. Picture of the room would help. 2. Is she a queen ot a Tomboy ??? I suggest you go over some pics of rooms... maybe here or on Pinterest ... together. Are you talking lamps? ot ceiling fixtures. This question is waaaaay too broad !!! LOL Details please !

@Louise Hawkins How old is she??? Go over ideas with her. Even a young girl like to have her say. Lamps on bedside with cool shades, maybe? Get lamps at Goodwill or a thrift shop, and paint them together !!! If she participates in the process, she will respect it enough to keep it neat and tidy. Is that any help ??? :)

Ikea has some really cool lights. They are swagg type lamps with really cool shades. Check out the website. ikea.com and then click on bedroom then lighting.

I grabbed several yard of an elastic-y black fabric from the fabric store, enough to cover the ceiling loosely, and bought some mini lights for my daughters room. We stapled the mini lights randomly to the ceiling, then stapled the black fabric over the lights loosely, almost looking like buttons tacked on a sofa. My daughter loved it.
