Painting curtains

If I paint a drop cloth with fabric and latex mix can I wash the curtains?

I painted a table runner that I made from a drop cloth with black paint and some fabric medium added to the paint. I have washed it several times. The paint has faded a little but it is still there. You need to heat set it with a dry iron or in the dryer on a hot setting before washing it.

Definitely use fabric medium in your paint if you plan on washing it. Also heat set it as Michelle has described above.
