Painting a stainless steel fridge

I want to paint my stainless steel fridge & dishwasher white but I'm not sure if this is at all possible? Has anyone ever done this & if so what did you use?

Try liquid stainless steel paint. Go into Hometalk and see other people that have used this type of paint for counter-tops.

We should just exchnge our appliances on this site, since everyone wants the opposite of what they have...a bit like our hair types LOL.

I know people spray their appliances, but i think in this case i would have an automotive painter do it.

I like Bernice's tip but before you drop a pretty penny changing the color ....how old are the appliances? Are they going to die 3 months after you invest in them? You may be better off saving up for new....

@Mimi They are only 5 years old, it just so happens that when we were builiding our house my husband thought I liked S-S and I thought he did...well guess what neither of us like it!! That is why I am thinking of painting it.

sell them and buy new ones? Sorry, that's probably not a great answer. I personally hate stainless steel now that I've had it.. too much work keeping it looking clean!

My thinking...there is a post " stainless steel goes wrong" .i don't know if it is recent....it was right under this when I opened this morning. The point is how easy it was to get the paint off after painting and getting rid of their mess. Which is why I suggested automotive spraying,their cars don't scrub off. To my knowledge.
