Hanging support bracket on vinyl windows

We are installing cafe curtains on a 3 window vinyl system. We need to add 2 support brackets in the center windows. The only place is vinyl, how do we attach the brackets to the thin vinyl?

I mounted mine in the 'above' window casements for mini blinds.... now I am going to use some light weight wire to hand from the top as well, but I have a coated center on my double window and you can spray paint the wire to match the vinyl. Actually I am still debating on whether I need a center support for light cafe curtains. I used a metal, electrical conduit rod (inexpensive 1/2 in x ten ft length) and they are fairly sturdy for my design. I just connected mine into the sides for the cafe's. I have drapery panels on either side and used a 1 x 4 x14 ft pine board to nail to my wall and used 'screw eyes' to put the rod through, so no center supports for that either, because I extended my rod to have all the drapery stack back on the wall..... so can't get the pipe into a center support................ less I use an L bracket, which I might do..... still not sure yet. Post pics and dimensions and space to give folks a better grip on how to help you.

Can you use a tension rod (or are you installing one long rod over the 3 windows) or command strips (hidden by curtain)? Some window warranties are voided if you drill into the frame. Some of the vinyl can break too (speaking from experience). http://lifehacker.com/15-brilliant-things-you-can-do-with-command-hooks-1355369802 http://www.instructables.com/id/STOP-Making-Wall-Holes-While-Hanging-Curtains--Dr/

I did not say to drill into the window frame, but the casing beyond the vinyl......... or you can outside mount the cafes also.

@Sheryll S When I responded, it said I was the 1st to comment, and no other comment was visible. Perhaps we were posting at the same time. I was actually responding to the person who posed the question.

Thanks all. We are going a different direction. Mounting on vinyl is a bad idea. Thanks again

@Victor bristow You're welcome! Vinyl has its benefits, but it can be a big pain too. :)
