A Vintage Wardrobe Gets a Facelift
I came across an old small wardrobe and knew that with a good clean and makeover, it could come back to life and find purpose in today's modern home.
Here is the before of the wardrobe. It's a great size for a bedroom or even a bathroom for linen or towel storage.
Here is the after!
I used Annie Sloan French Linen chalk paint and hand painted gold rosettes on the doors to give it some glam and to highlight the oval design.
I cleaned and stained the interior in General Finishes java gel stain. It cleaned it up while still allowing the old wood to show through and gives it a true vintage feel.
The interior has two rods on either side for hanging clothing.
The rosettes shine against the darker gray.
I used Martha Stewart antique gold for the painted rosettes.
A sweet piece for a new owner!

You did a beautiful job! The hand painted gold rosettes are the perfect trim to add a little 'girlyness'. Have you ever considered posting a tutorial on how to paint the exquisite rosettes?
