Adding Pretty Details

So a little while back a family member gave me this table. It was a solid table, but definitely lacked some details. Below is how it looked initially. I knew I wanted this table distressed so I first painted out the top in a dark brown paint to bring it as close as possible to match the bottom color. After it dried, I sealed it with a spray Varathane varnish to create a barrier so that I could distress and have the dark brown color show through.

I then painted the table in Coco Chalk Paint® and dry brushed some Country Grey Chalk Paint®. After painting and distressing, it was time to change the look of this table by adding some rope moulding and wood appliqués. Here are the pieces I used.
It then looked like this.
I was able to find 6 chairs which I painted the same as the table and upholstered in drop cloth material and ended up with this pretty set.
The rope detail really made a huge difference.
