How would you renovate this bathroom?

My friend, Michael, is knee-deep in the renovation of her bath. She's run into a few problems with paint color and decisions on whether she should paint the vanity or replace it. She would love to hear your suggestions and ideas.

Beautiful space. With the abundance of natural light -- I would consider a saturated color (much darker) for the walls. It would make a beautiful backdrop for the cabinets and tile to shine.

I would go with a slate blue on the walls. I would paint the vanity a medium to dark brown and would follow with the white trim. I love the tile. There is so much out there now with the blue/brown combination that you can pick the concentration of the two colors, but with so much light I would go darker than lighter.

I would paint the walls a med. shade of smokey grey. And use those mirrors she bought but paint them to match the vanity. Do accessories, tan, grey, black, and white. I would use pewter in any medal i use.

If she really loves the inspiration room, then the vanity needs to be stained darker to blend with the mirror and sconces she bought. The vanity hardware needs to be changed out to more closely resemble the hardware on the inspiration piece, builder grade round knobs that are way too dark just don't cut it. Ideally the countertops would be replaced, a lot of the feel in the inspiration room comes from the very light marble countertops, but in that bath that would be gobs of money to replace. Change out the faucets to a more vintage style like the inspiration piece, and sand down the window casings and stain to more closely resemble the mirror frames. I would add some white casual curtain panels to the sides of the windows since architecturally the windows aren't all that interesting, and bring in loads of accessories to get the vibe, because that's where you'll really flesh out the feel of the room. Also, the small dark tiles in the floor and walls really don't work with the inspiration look. Why not carefully paint just those particular tiles a lighter color that will tie them in to the wall color better? I think that would make a really startling visual impact. I would marble tile the entire room, floor to ceiling. Chandelier and some elegant wall sconces.

Love everything so far, just need to add color in window treatment and accessories which is easy to change out periodically when you wish.  Awesome room with a beautiful room.  I'm jealous.

Hi there, the bathroom looks very spacious and a bathroom addition can be a reasonable investment. Well, what are you actually planning to add? If you want to have a large tub, dual showers or sinks, you may need to allocate additional space. They incorporated soothing colors and added a natural stone countertops into her bathroom. You should also consult with some renovation contractor to get proper idea.
