Vintage Metal Cart Gets a New Look

I found this vintage cart at an estate sale, and although I personally liked the olive green color, it was a little beat up and I wasn't sure how much others would like the color. I added some feminine style to this metal cart, which I think would work perfectly as a little drink cart to help cool off on those hot summer days. (Oh, how I wish I had a front porch. Wouldn't it look even better on a covered front porch?)
Here's how it all started.
I gave it two coats of spray paint. I found this adorable paper at a small store in my downtown area.
I folded the edges to match the edges of the cart shelves. I was hopeful that the top and bottom shelf were the same size and I cut measure and cut once, but I had no such luck. I repeated this process for the bottom shelf as well.
After getting the rectangle to fit perfectly in the indentation, I marked off the rounded edges and cut them off.
Once they were cut to size, I used spray adhesive to adhere the paper to the tray tops.
I finished it off with a few coats of Polycrylic. Although I wouldn't suggest storing this cart outside, the three coats should hold up to light condensation.
When I bought the paper with a gift card my friend gave me, I didn't actually know what I would use it for. I only bought two sheets, which is why the middle shelf is still blue. I'm thinking I should go back and get one more sheet to give it a more finished look. What do you all think?
I'm sure you all can think of a ton of other awesome uses for this cart, but for now, it's perfect for drinks! Questions? Head on over to the blog where I explained everything in a bit more detail!
