MaryP on Jul 29, 2015I tried to get some people to help build one for me, but after months with nothing, I ended up buying a decorative box from Home Goods store and using it. Also saw ideas of using an old newspaper box - might want to call your newspaper to see if they have any they no longer want.Helpful Reply

Rose on Jul 30, 2015I would just use a plastic bin that you can purchase anywhere for under $10. But a better idea would be to start a book club of sorts and have a little "afternoon tea" to host for neighbors.Helpful Reply

Z on Jul 30, 2015My first thought was an old bread box. You'd have to paint it and protect the wood with a good exterior quality Polyurethane though. I've thought of doing this in our little neighborhood too, but too many other projects going on. I figured I'd do so when I came across my old wood breadbox somewhere in the basement.Helpful Reply
