Paint Can Chalkboard Herb Pots

I have a huge herb garden outdoors, but I also love keeping some of my fave herbs near-by for easy access. Myself and a few other bloggers took a challenge - buy something from Lowe's and turn it into something unexpected. So....using some plain paint cans and some chalkboard paint - I brought my outdoor herb garden indoors!
I used the small quart-sized cans but you could also create a larger herb garden with a the gallon size can.
I love how they fit right in with my farmhouse kitchen. For more of these "unexpected" projects, search for here on Hometalk.

We had some yummy homegrown Oranges from the neighbor across the street from my folks that we rooted in a ziplock back and then later planted them with soil in a recycled/upcycled planter made out of the tall plastic CostCo containers that their Peanut Butter Pretzel Bits come in. I'd suggest cutting off the screw-on lid part first. Much easier than doing it after you've got potting soil in it.
