If it's not too deep, a little olive oil rubbed over the scratch may help. It will take out the white color from the scratch and help camouflage it.

You can use the furniture crayons or markers for fixing scratches.

If there is an indentation you can use a wet cloth and a steam iron to raise the dent. My son gave me the idea, I tried it and it worked. I didn't need to add a finish.

Minwax stain markers for scratches. Comes in a variety of stains and available at Lowes and Home Depot, etc.

I agree with comments above. I have used Old English to hide the scratch. Doesn't bother me all that much as it adds to character of wood.....

Home Depot sells a line of products called Rejuvenate. The floor finisher goes on like wax but does a great job of covering scratches. I also use a bit of sand paper and then apply Howard's Restore-a-Finish. I've done it to the whole house--100 year old oak and pine floors--so lots of experimentation. Now I just have to get a suggestion on how to get blackened pee stain out--just moved a rug and . . . ugh! Happy Cleaning! susen

If the scratch is not deep, and you do not have a walnut or pecan handy, try white non-gel toothpaste. Just rub it on with your finger in a circular motion. Wipe it off with a soft cloth going with the grain. It works on tables, so maybe also floors.
