Any interesting ideas to give this pot hanger some interest?

We just moved into our new home. The last owners left this hanging above the counter in the kitchen/dining room. My pots and pans are not suited to hang up, plus it's a little high for me. Any ideas on how to dress it up a bit?

@Bonnie witlam I've always wanted a kitchen with tall enough ceilings for a pot rack, so far I've never had one. I have on the other hand collected LOTS of copper pots & pans from thrift stores in the event I ever do have that kitchen! I suggest start picking some up in thrift stores... In the meantime while you collect, you could put a nice floral arrangement in the top. Maybe hang pretty glass ornaments from the hooks, (especially awesome at Christmas time for decorating!) Will your kitchen have some kind of theme? Grapes hanging could be neat with wine glasses in the top. Really there are limitless possibilities, just use your imagination & go with something that suits the theme/feel of you kitchen.

You could turn some mason jars into lamps (currently the biggest craze) and hang them from the underside of the pot rack. Custom made light fixture!

Use it to hang Harvest or Christmas decorations, like vines or evergreen garland. Also a kitchen island, even an old table would look nice for the entire look.

I was going with hanging dfferent holiday items on it, but looking at it again, I think it's just too big for the space, I'd take it down and either repurpose it or sell it

If it is in a location where you need light, I would make a vintage lamp shade out of it.

I'm assuming there was an island of some sort underneath it? Are you not wanting to use it as a pot rack? I put live plants in one I had - a couple plants were ivy-ish,

Love the dried flowers idea..if you want to remove it and not use it in the kitchen, my sisterinlaw took hers add a very thing wire on the bottom and hung it from their big oak tree out back and used it for a bird feeder and the hooks have humming bird feeders on them...and she alternates little bird houses in between the feeders.

oh or you could get a repeat stencil go around the outer edge on the ceiling..along with the dried herbs and flowers idea or even the vintage lamp idea

Because it was anchored to the ceiling most likely they HAD to leave it.  That is what happened to me with mine. 😞 you can lower it with some chain, OR start collecting some copper or aluminum tea pots creamers etc, to add interest color, yes plants and bunches of herbs tied up would be nice as well.

Would be so cool if you could attach a table with pulleys to it. Lower the table when needed and raise it when you don't to give you more open space.

I would hang old pottery from the hooks...needs to be light as this type of fixture is not made to hold heavy objects

I agree with Kim S. Too much work, replace it with a pretty chandelier or pendant lights for work area--I'm assuming there is an island under the pot hanger. Good luck.

I like the pot hanger myself.  If you are a collector of any great things, as I am, you would see this as a wonderful asset. I would display it with beautiful , colorful items much like a small table top.  Lol I am not afraid of dusting and I do not see less is more! I love a beautiful home of wonderful collections. I hope you have found that perfect way to use it by now.

I would add crystals to it! How fun, you could also add electric timer candles up there that would go on and off by themselves to add ambiance...almost like a candlelight chandelier.
