because like me, you belong to the brown-thumb club! Sadly, many years ago,I spent 4 years trying to grow (with the help of experts) tomatoes, and the result was to buy what I needed at the Farmer's Market. Sorry !!!

Did you start it from seed? If so, was it a seed from a tomato you bought from the grocery store? It could have been either a hybrid or a gmo tomato. Sometimes those don't reproduce well... What's your soil like? I nourish my soil by tilling in our used coffee grounds and crushed eggshells... If yous is in a container, you can do the same by mixing coffee grounds and eggshells into the potting soil/dirt with a trowel or spoon. I notice you are in CA... have you been able to give it enough water?

If you have given your soil what it needs, and you still don't have any fruit, take a sample of your soil to your university extension office to have it tested. The cost is minimal and you will find out what it needs.

I made the BIG mistake of planting too many plants together...also the heat here in Houston, Tx..has NOT helped at all. Better planting next year..I hope!

If you planted them later in the season, it may have gotten too hot. Also, after years of trial and error, I saw a tip for watering tomato plants without over-watering them...plan for next year...drill many holes up to 1/4" all around a plastic bucket (got mine at Dollar Tree) and then bury it up to the top rim in the middle of your new plants. Fill it with water daily, but never actually water the base of the plants. I even added fertilizer to the water occasionally, and I had my best year to date with tomatoes. Best of luck for next year, for now, if you have the time, let the plants alone, just water daily, but lightly, as tomatoes like steady water levels, but hate too much water...it may be that you will still get some fruits in the fall.

There is a spray that "sets" the blossoms on tomatoes plants. When it gets too hot they will not set by themselves. Go to your local garden store and ask.
